Green Acre Farms is a family business located in the Ottawa Valley that is centered around farming and agricultural services.
Jon was born in 1977 in the Niagara region. He grew up on a mixed farm raising sheep and horses. It was then that his passion for farming was born. After finishing secondary school, he continued his education by entering into an agricultural apprenticeship for mechanics. Here, he learned how crucial machinery is to farming. He went on to work in a John Deere Dealership for 8 years while continuing to farm on the side. In 2003, Jon started his own crop spraying and agricultural business.
Shortly after, in 2004, he married his wonderful wife and partner, Jen. They now have five wonderful children and are thriving together in the Ottawa Valley with family and friends.
Green Acre Farms offers a variety of services including; corn, soybean, and wheat spraying, harvesting and grain trucking. They also provide excavator and dump wagon services for land clearing and any other excavation work you may require. You’ll also find dump truck services for bringing fill or stone, and the removal of unnecessary material. All equipment is proudly and meticulously maintained.
With the business growing so quickly from customer referrals, Jon expanded the company to be able to keep up with the demand. Jon only hires individuals with a high level of passion in what they do and ensures that they are fully trained and qualified for the duties and roles that they are assigned.
